Sherry Keith

My name is Sherry Keith.  I was born and raised in sunny Southern California.  I attended the University of San Diego and earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish.  After graduating from USD, I attended National University and earned my teaching certificate, along with a Master's in Cross-Cultural Education.   I also hold a certification in English as a Second Language.

This is my 17th year in GCISD.   I formerly taught Elementary Spanish at Heritage and O.C. Taylor but, in 2011, I transitioned to the classroom.  I taught first grade for 3 years.  This year will be my 6th year in second grade.  I have truly found my niche - I love this grade level!

About My Family and Me
My husband, Robert, and I have been married for 17 years.   We have three daughters:  one is at CHHS, one is at HMS, and one is here with me.  We are very busy but I do love to read.  I also enjoy laughing (a LOT!), singing, going to the movies, shopping, and playing Words with Friends.

Aside from all of that, my passion is teaching.  I love to teach and I cannot wait for this year to unfold!   Your children and I are going to have a lot of fun learning this year and I am so excited! If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me by email or by phone.
