First Grade Team
In first grade at Heritage Elementary, children make great strides in the stages of the learning process. Throughout the curriculum, we use high interest lessons and hands-on manipulatives to strengthen the understanding of skills. As teachers, we help each child move to the next level and experience success along the way. We strive to build confidence in the areas of reading, math, science, and social studies. We also encourage and guide them to express themselves in writing. Our goal in first grade is to have the child, parent, and teacher continuously work together to make learning a fun and positive experience.
