Year Book Photo Papa

This is my 17th year teaching special education, my 7th year with Heritage Elementary and my 14th year with Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. I have a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Health and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Utah.

My husband, John, and I have been married 29 years and have three daughters in their 20s. I am from Houston and John is from New York. We have lived in Washington, DC, Houston, and Southlake.

My family enjoys traveling, especially skiing in Utah. We also enjoy movies, reading and hiking.  My recent big adventure was to hike 500 miles through Spain along the Camino de Santiago Frances last summer.  My family will join me this coming summer to take on the adventure again!

I tend to be driven by the life philosophy of "Where there is a will, there is a way!". One of my favorite animals is the leafy seadragon because it reminds me that no matter what our circumstances, we will find a way to adapt in order to become successful. It also reminds me that a successful adaptation may look very different from what we would typically expect.
