Please help us welcome back Ms. Henson to our special education staff! She will be joining our new RISE classroom as a paraprofessional this year! You can read more about her below:
Hello! My name is Morgan Henson and I am excited to be officially joining the Special Education team at GES. This past May I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and got the opportunity to work alongside GES during my time student teaching.
Spending time with family, friends, and my one year old niece is something I cherish in my free time.I’m excited for the adventures this next school year holds.

We are excited to kick-off the 2024-2025 school year in a few weeks! Our staff is studying positive psychology this summer through the works of Shawn Achor and we're eager to spread positive vibes through our new theme, "Peace, Love, & GES!"

As you travel, throw a GES shirt in your bag, take some pictures, and post in the comments below! Keep it going all summer long! We miss our students and staff and want to see ALL the adventures!! #GESShineOn

We want to give a huge shout-out to our PTA President, Meghan Decker! We had an amazingly WILD year at GES and it could only be possible with the incredible support we receive from our PTA. Thank you Meghan for all the time, passion, and love that you poured into GES! Shine on!

Please help us give a warm GES welcome to Mrs. Vo who will be joining our 2nd grade team for the 24-25 school year! You can read all about her below:
"Hello! My name is Tuyen Vo. As I approach my tenth year in teaching, I'm filled with excitement for the adventures ahead at GES! I've had the privilege of teaching across a wide range of grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten to Fourth Grade, as well as serving as an Academic Interventionist. Watching my students grow academically and emotionally while building strong bonds with them is the best part of teaching. It's what keeps me inspired every day! I am certified in EC - 6 and ESL. I am proficient in Vietnamese. This summer marks the beginning of my pursuit of a master's degree! Outside of school, you can find me instructing classes at Pure Barre, blending my passion for fitness with my love for teaching. I enjoy reading, being active, cooking, watching shows, and traveling. Iceland is one of my favorite places I've been to. I have been married to my husband, Tim, for nine years and we have a zoo (cats and dogs). I am looking forward to an amazing year ahead and thank you so much for welcoming me!"

We are excited to share about the new staff that will be joining us for the 24-25 school year! Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Vierra to our 3rd grade team! She will be teaching math and science and pairing with Mrs. Stephenson. You can read all about her below!
"Hello GES community! My name is Taylor Vierra and this will be my first year teaching at Grapevine Elementary. I have previously taught 4th grade and 2nd grade at a school on the Central Coast in California. I am excited to begin my journey in 3rd grade this year at such a reputable school. I am making the big move from California to Texas in late June to be with my husband. Although I will miss the Central Coast because it is home to me, I have fallen in LOVE with the DFW area and can't wait to experience new adventures.
I graduated from Brandman University in May of 2020 with my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies. I then went on to earn my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and my Masters of Art in Teaching from UMass Global University.
Outside of teaching, I love to workout, soak up the sun, try new food, hang out with family/friends, and take my puppy, Rex, on all types of outdoor adventures. Thank you all for the warm welcome and I can't wait to meet everyone very soon!"
