Last year, we reviewed the GCISD Emergency Response Protocol, but did you know that if there is a situation at your child's school, there are multiple ways to ensure you receive notification? To ensure you are informed, GCISD will send you text messages (for those who opted in during enrollment), emails and mobile app notifications, and post updates on district social media pages and websites. GCISD Transportation Services Department uses the Secured Mobility Authorized Ridership Technology (SMART) tag system to support student safety by providing accurate, real-time updates for students riding the bus.
